A quick turn and back at it departing on the annual Bob Vogelsang four day run with everything in order and conditions seemingly in our favor. An excellent weather forecast, at least three quarters of the battle when it comes to offshore prospecting, promises expanded opportunities. 100% effective with the big glasses and electronics in calm conditions we are confidant that whatever ground we cover will be done so thoroughly.
Of course a few fish to show for the effort will go a long way. No question there are plenty of opportunities out there but right now suffice it to say that they aren't necessarily easy to find. Spread out over a vast area the good news is that it can happen anywhere; one simply has to put in the time; and that we will.
Beginning this afternoon, a mere two hours following departure, we were hard at it, lines in the water. At this stage one does not want to drive by any opportunities; near or far we're in the market for fish. With little to show for it we still covered some excellent water pushing south toward tomorrow's starting destination. A little favor from the fish gods would go a long way toward setting us right. Our part in the equation, 100% dedicated focus and effort, is certain. The chase begins anew.
