Reality of Fishing
5-7-2015
Tim Ekstrom
A few opportunities in the dark and a bounty of life around suggested that opportunity was at our finger tips. Then daylight came and any semblance of something better evaporated. So much for settling the score. Thankful that we had anything at all to show for the effort, and recognizing that more time dedicated to this zone was opportunity anywhere else slipping away, we jumped on the first coach out of Dodge headed for somewhere that feels like fishing. A little may be better than nothing, but no regrets came with this decision; all were ready to venture.
Silver linings are as follows: fine weather, an abundance of epic bait, a boat running well, and plenty of time. Throw a few fish into this equation and we'll have it made. Occasions such as these expose the reality of fishing, separate the glory from the grind. No reason to get all wrought up and flustered; the show goes on.
