Ready We Are
5-4-2015
Tim Ekstrom
Consuming miles of distance over open water little more than easy livin' and good times were today's focal point. Yes a little rigging occupied the a.m. hours but those tasks were quickly fininshed making way for an early happy hour that really never ended. Joined by one and all the merriment, partaking or not, was inclusive and contagious. The ease and comfort with which this time has passed goes a long way toward setting the mind straight, and honing focus to tasks soon at hand.
Preparation for giant yellowfin is no laughing matter so today's levity purged our systems for tomorrow's final rigging projects. No shortage of time remaining will insure that all the T's are crossed and all the i's are dotted. For arrival early Wednesday morning we want everything to be just right. Good weather and sea conditions are again promised tomorrow and appear to be the pattern for at least a few more days. Just enough breeze to take the edge off the tropical sun and just enough sea to provide nautical flare: long range travel to the southern climes at it's finest. One more day of decelerated time then the fishing begins. "Ready we are".
