Royal Star

A brief respite shoreside following the successful completion of the couple of three day voyages we added to the Royal Star schedule. For the season and remaining opportunities available we could not be happier with the results. Now the regular schedule resumes. We departed today with a premium load of beautiful sardines most of which we ratholed from the prior three day run. Excellent cured bait is an advantage that can not be overstated. Upon departure it appears that we delve into a rapidly changing seascape below. Opportunities are still plentiful but it looks right now like an operator must be light on their feet to stay ahead of the curve. There are plenty of targets out there but they are mobile and elusive. The right day, the right time, the right place, piece of cake right? We will see.

What we have foremost in our favor is information, and on this run a weather forecast that is by far the best I have seen in months; the best yet in this fall 2014 season. The door is open everywhere now, no excuses to sit on the sidelines waiting for things to happen. Not that we are in the business of doing so, in fact the exact opposite is our modus operandi, so we'll stick with our proven strategy and make it happen. An old time veteran group along with a handful of anglers new to Royal Star promise a warm atmosphere conducive to success. We are ready on all fronts. Reports and photos documenting our progress will continue.
