A few "skin" and solid jerkin' and pullin' this afternoon introducing anglers to classic ridge action. Almost always there is
a significant amount of sorting that accompanies ridge anchor and drift fishing as the shallows attract myriads of juvenile
yellowtail and tunas that are all too eager to prove their mettle when the opportunity arises.

This was the case today but some long ago gained experience placed Royal Star in position to minimize the midgets while
compiling a nice afternoon score on school size yellowfin tuna. The few bonus skinnies provided adrenaline charged impetus to
keep hammering away, luck or otherwise, and when all was said and done the day closed with anglers primed and prepared for
stage three of this run.

Offshore is the plan for tomorrow heading down and out in search of the fall ten day glory that sets these voyages apart.
Boom or bust it is the right course of action for us perfectly attuned to our signature objectives. Bigger and better -
always. We'll see if we can tow that line tomorrow.

Photo today features wildly stoked Royal Star veteran Steve Bernd with his first nice "skin" coming over the rail.
