No big bang up finish, but there really didn't need to be. The critical, ever shifting threshold was reached in
yesterday's results liberating one and all from any need of more. Because there is such a thing as enough. The
perfect amount of product is how I would deem these results; perfect in quantity, quality, and variety. In no way
could one hope for a better summer eight day voyage.

Perfect weather, a variety list that includes wahoo, yellowfin tuna, dorado, bluefin tuna, and yellowtail, and a
huge variety of fishing methods and destinations set this run into a distinct category of glowing success. By
design, and absolutely a hearty portion of good fortune, the annual "Barking Spiders" summer eight day lives up to
it's billing.

We shift gears for a couple of voyages now with Captain Toussaint assuming command on the next three and four day
runs. Signs of bluefin offshore again changed dramatically, but for the better. The guys got on a different batch
in the afternoon following our departure and clobbered the school size bluefin - perfect for the upcoming, shorter
offshore runs. Look for Captain Toussaint's abbreviated reports sharing the details over the next few days.

Photos for the day feature Mr. Barking Spider himself Mark Mayo who took jackpot honors with this 77.6 pound
bluefin tuna. Photo number two, even though somewhat out of focus due to a surge of adrenaline that made my hands
shake, features an offshore tuna fishing Captain's dream. This image features the Captain's view of the sonar
display on the left, and the fathometer on the right, both loaded with a giant school of bluefin tuna that produced
the first hit of our big day. As for quantity of fish it literally can not be any better than what these monitors
display; big time tonnage, exactly how we like it.
