Not much in the way of tuna today, and zero in the category we are seeking, but an action packed outing
nevertheless with steady, all day "skinnin'" and morning hits on school size, 25 - 40# yellowfin. It did get a
little sharky at times, with voracious dog packs of pelagic silkies making short work of both our hooked tuna and
wahoo, but we managed to stay ahead of them for the most part landing the greater majority.
Overall the move inside was a definite success. The trek northeast enabled us to squeeze yet another day of fishing
time into this eleven day run, break up the ride, and add a little more scenic variety to the program. Throw in a
few more tasty wahoo per angler, all of which are in primo condition resting easy in the last RSW tank, and we
depart toward home well satisfied.
Photo today again features the one and only Pete Gray who broke out the big Shimano Stella to toss the "stick bait"
at various schools of 30 - 70# tuna we located well on the outside as we approached Clarion last week. Pete tied
into several nice ones that he subdued easily using this rig that was a perfect match for the occasion.
