Not an easy go of it, yet, and by all indications the near future just may have plenty more of this in store. Other
than driving hard, and wrenching every last one of these rotten so and so's from their cozy oceanic lair, there is
little else to say or do. We are on the road again in what has become a do or die situation.
It goes without saying that the bridge atmosphere is thick with consternation as the weight of this mini world
teeters precariously upon our capability. This is the time when glory yields to reality; the reality being fishing;
the fact that there are far more times when we must earn our success rather than stumble upon it.
And, though sick with an all too familiar fear of doom, I would trade it for nothing. It is occasions such as these
that brand individuals, that forge them into history as legends or losers. High stakes no doubt; welcome to long
range fishing.
Today's photo features one bright moment among few as long time Royal Star veteran Cecil George emerged from the
distant past to remind us that he still puts all that he learned over the years into practice. As I reluctantly
pushed the start buttons to begin the next move Cecil instilled a fraction of hope by hooking and landing this fine
175. Although the only one of it's size it did the trick - for a moment. It was Cecil's moment though and one for
him that still endures; rightly so.
