Royal Star

Happy times here today as calm seas, sunshine, and good fishing set things right. A renewed
appreciation for all things good was the resounding theme as we pulled on yellowtail, took
in the sights, breathed deep and savored the sweet aroma of a morning desert refreshed by
the recent down pour; everything right was magnified, and rightly so.

Cruising northward over sheet glass in the late afternoon we were compelled by the perfect
calm to stop one final time and smell the roses. Drawn by conditions, and deference to
Royal Star tradition, we pulled into one of our favorite kelp bass destinations and
enthusiastically railed the perfect size "eaters" for a delightful one hour respite. As
always I am thrilled to see how many anglers are well prepared to take full advantage of
such opportunities when they arise.

A final morning to target offshore tuna will be the order tomorrow before we call this
voyage a success and head for the barn. Today's image is the final sunset photo assault. I
snapped this out the bridge window in tribute to restored tranquility. Ahhh...
