We worked north west into a detestable pile up harried from below into the Hurricane Paul induced,
yellowtail bottleneck. At all times we do our best to preserve the essence of long range fishing in the
form of plenty of elbow room. But there are those unique periods, such as today, when the forces of
fishing and Mother Nature require we deviate from our preference.

Today we mixed it up accordingly scratching our share in pleasant working conditions. The hassle of our
nemesis this voyage is not over yet - the rotten bastard of a storm still nipping at our heels has become
the offensive relative that won't leave despite all the obvious cues. But we are now far enough ahead of
the beast that when it does pass over, and according to the latest forecast it most certainly will, we
are not threatened with any danger. Rain and probably a fair amount of wind will give the old girl a good
fresh water dousing but most of our seasoned anglers always bring their rain gear.

We are here with big refuge from all points of the compass, we have plenty of time to make the most of
what fishing opportunities manifest, and spirits on board are in line with the calm conditions.
Yellowtail are on the bill for tomorrow as we await the passage of our "gum on shoe" buddy, now Tropical
Storm, Paul. What a pain in the rear.

I'm not a big share the sunset photo guy but as I painfully attempted to describe the stark hues of
yesterday's celestial portrait I figured this one is in order. The image from today doesn't quite possess
the same fear of God inducing resonance, but it is the absolute antithesis, again, of "Sailor's Delight";
no red in this miracle, none at all.
