Royal Star
We had a great day of action and variety today. We started with a good bite on
20-30# yellowtail that lasted for about an hour and a half. It was an iron
throwers dream as they bit the jig very well. We then switched target species,
looking for tuna and dorado. We had steady action throughout the late morning
and afternoon punctuated by a good kelp which produced wide open action on both
species.
When the action gets hot and heavy all seven crewmen are on deck assisting
anglers. Galley assistant Nestor Parada handled the gaff for Larry Brown on this
20 # class dorado.
