Back in the saddle here, big time, as a full day of steady picking at quality yellowtail culminated in a
final, incredible evening push. I have seen such amazing spectacles before, but never better. Hundreds of
square yards of foaming 20 - 25# yellowtail stretched out into a line perhaps three quarters of a mile
long. Thousands of birds quickly joined the fray to create and image of complete chaos - a genuine
maelstrom of white water, wings, and tails churning the surface into straight foam; incredible, and
productive.

Throw in weather that decreased all day into beautiful flat calm by evening and the transformation was
complete. We definitely threw the monkey off our back - today. Now of course the call is to maintain
momentum. As one would expect, rejuvenated, relieved, and confidence restored, these anglers are ready
and raring to answer the call.

Photos today feature a snippet from the rail during one round of hot and heavy action, and Royal Star
veteran Ed Abate with one of the "stock" grade yellows anglers enjoyed throttling throughout the day.
