Another fine day of mixed bag offshore action with 20 - 30# yellowfin tuna and good grade dorado the bulk
of the catch. Similar to yesterday there was a good deal of "sorting" at the beginning of each stop but
after a short while, when the right ones were present, they asserted their size advantage sending their
smaller competitors running for cover.

Between fantastic weather and superb fishing we were feeling damn fine and very fortunate by mid-
afternoon. So much so that we pointed it north and spent the remaining day prospecting for new, fertile
ground. Not much was accomplished in the way of catching but there were a few points of interest for our
future travels.

Otherwise our timely departure set the stage for a day of beach fishing tomorrow focusing on variety and
perhaps just a few trophy class yellowtail to break up the ride north. Honestly though the complete
majority of these sated anglers are looking for some relaxing kelp bass action and perhaps a few big
butts far more than any more yellowtail. And for such action we know just where to direct our efforts.
This is one of those coveted occasions when the advantage of a bounty of fish in the hatch provides
plenty of leeway to deviate from our typical unrelenting pursuit of gamesters.

Today's image was a quick shot of some morning carnage as Royal Star veteran Joe Davis took a quick knee
during the heat of the battle amidst a pile of good grade tuna and dorado.
