Royal Star Fish Report

Royal Star

Well lo and behold: the weather came down, the bluefin came up - no surprise there. One of our colleagues yesterday got back on the fish well within 2 ? day range seeing ample sign in far better weather than the prior five days. If this calm lasts it is just short of guaranteed that it will lead to an expansion of the Bluefin sign as well as catching.

On this note I can again only suggest, even urge, that any and all anglers pining for some offshore action call Tracy about the upcoming 2 ? day departing on Wednesday returning Saturday. With decent offshore weather days forecast on Thursday and Friday, and the present sign of fish ideally located in the 150 - 160 mile range, this final "mini" long range Royal Star voyage of the season is perfectly positioned to make the most of any opportunities found.

Photos today feature a couple of action packed yellowtail scenes from the prior voyage. Tim Ebner reefs on a good one just prior to gaff and Bill McCoy keeps the rod tip high pulling in a spirited contest between yellowtail fisherman and his quarry. Look for Captain Toussaint and Captain Sims to take over the daily posting duties for the next couple of voyages as I bow out for an annual stretch of family R and R.
