Royal Star Fish Report

Royal Star
Another reminder to everyone about the need for all anglers on summer voyages of five days or more to bring their Passports; and if you do not have one, make necessary arrangements to expedite the process; it is mandatory that all anglers carry Passports to access Isla Guadalupe. We will add further literature to our website prominently displayed, but I want to be certain that the word travels within the sport fishing community as well. What we don't want, and fear, is a situation where an angler arrives without a Passport and is either unable to make a voyage, or prevents a voyage from making a run to Guadalupe. If you are on any upcoming summer or fall voyage of five days or longer please do not allow this to occur. While we presently have no idea which voyages, if any, will visit the outside island, the potential for every voyage to make the run, if the fishing warrants, does exist. We want to be certain we are prepared accordingly; to again miss out on phenomenal fishing for 40 - 120 pound yellowfin tuna at the height of prime time is a misfortune we do not wish anyone to suffer.
Also on the news and promo front we do have space available on a number of summer and fall voyages for any of you that are on the fence waiting to see how things unfold. The June 20 - 25th five day, at a tremendous bargain, can accommodate several anglers, as well as the Wednesday - Sunday August 10th - 14th four day that we converted into an Open voyage a couple of months past. Both of these trips are lined up to take full advantage of what we hope are abundant opportunities at offshore albacore, Bluefin, and perhaps yellowfin tuna. Otherwise there are a few spots here and there in our schedule. If one of the voyage dates fits your free time don't hesitate to call. In many cases Tracy is able to work her magic and accommodate an angler or two on voyages that were believed to be at capacity.
I will continue photos and reports for the remainder of the week as there is more information, and perhaps even a few anecdotes, to share. Photos today first feature Thai angler "Tong" and crewman Blake Wasano on the bow of Royal Star as Tong pulls on another of many 100 - 180 pound class yellowfin tuna. Photo number two features a classic Thai pileup on the bow as T'ai, Ek, and Benz all reef on big fish during our epic afternoon/evening drift at Socorro after returning to the inside from Isla Clarion. And finally, don't forget to view our April featured "Angler of the Month" that deserves a quick view. Meanwhile have a fine day; let us all hope for fish soon coming.
