Royal Star
We're still absolutely swamped here with steady scratch action on 100 - 195's, and an evening ripper on school size 70 - 90's, consuming just about all of our time. The weather is fantastic, our group of fishermen is one of a kind, and we are eagerly anticipating whatever additional good action there is to be found; and judging by the fact that we are have only completed the second full day, I believe plenty of favorable surprises await.
For now we are settled in at the big island where as of yet we have barely covered perhaps 1/4 of the potential fish producing zones. During the last voyage I made many remarks about the incredible beauty of the surroundings of this island. All that applies again, but admittedly the fishing has been so superb, and the type of pursuit so intense, that the scenic marvels have taken the back seat as of yet. This is straight business.
One of the original tagging veterans does the honors today. Stuart Exall sets a fine example with this 180# class chunky yellowfin that was among at least a couple of handfuls of this size class fish tagged and released today. Between the fishing, the weather, the size average - I spare you the cheesy clich?. Simply said - Paradise.
