Royal Star Fish Report

5-4-2011
Royal Star

One of the more unusual departing themes I have experienced as airline/luggage nightmares set back our desire to take leave of the twin cities and cast a pall over the typically festive atmosphere. With plenty of equipment on board to improvise, and the location of the lost gear a complete wash, it was decided that the most prudent course was still south as fine weather and grandiose opportunity convincingly beckon.

Day one will be passed in travel mode preparing, adapting, and creating set up's capable, and proficient for the task at hand. We are here to capture and release as many yellowfin tuna and wahoo as possible. We will apply our every effort toward the stated objective. We will succeed in every respect. And, above all else, we will have a wealth of fun and countless laughs in the process.

Look for a full fishing report on the 6th. I'll spare everyone my poetry in the interim. Photo today features a fine duo from the prior voyage sharing the quintessential big fish moment at the rail. Master angler Chris Yamada and tackle legend Cal Sheets display perfect form using the rail to their full advantage. Both anglers ended their battles successfully; as did both fish - they are still swimming; pierced.
