Royal Star
We're making progress with plans to sea trial the boat today following completion of repairs. I can report that we fired off both engines yesterday. The horrifying features that identified (for the entire Fisherman's, Point Loma, and H&M landing basin) the problem in the sick engine are gone. We fired it up and ran it for about fifteen minutes. At present, there are still a few bugs to iron out. But, the disastrous qualities of the original failure appear to be remedied. We will keep all of you on tomorrow's voyage abreast of any significant developments. As of now we are still all systems go.
A few photos today from the engine room for you mechanical buffs; not really much to look at, and not really how one likes to see their almost new, $100,000.00 main engine. Painful; extraordinarily painful. The good news - it's just nuts and bolts; almost.
Have a fine day
Tim
