Fish Report for 9-8-2010
Royal Star Fish Report

Royal Star
Not much to report in the way of fishing today as the morning passed quickly in favor of things down the road. We passed a heavenly night fast to the bottom then scratched away at 18 - 25# yellowtail before picking up our stakes and continuing south. The reports are too much to resist. We sacrificed fishing time today, for fishing time tomorrow. If it plays out anything like we anticipate, the result will be well worth the time invested.
One side note of interest was the sign of yellowtail chasing balls of market size squid around the zone we were fishing today. What we observed was a condition much more likely to be found during the spring season, or to the north several hundred miles. Just like everything else that has transpired, this season is full of surprises. Nothing is beyond the realm of possibility. That zone we fished this morning had the smell and feel of sea bass. We'll find out soon enough.
We've got tuna on the mind however. Yellowfin tuna. We'll be glad to accommodate any incidentals. But we want tuna. I don't think we could be more ready to get down to business. All of us. Photo today features anglers David Kush, Bob Allen, and Tim Allen in action during a good hit on the yellows yesterday afternoon. Sweet success.
