With dismal offshore reports and mediocre weather we opted to start our five day trip at an island where we arrived this afternoon. It didn't take long before we got on a nice school that produced wide open angling on 18-25lb yellows until dark. It took a little while to work out the kinks as is usually the case when you start a trip with full speed fishing though after a few hours we were working together like a well oiled machine.
We are going to give this one more day before taking a shot at the offshore scene. The bite did pick up a bit this afternoon so hopefully we can finish up on some tuna to round out the trip.
