Royal Star Fish Report

Royal Star
Good signs all over the lower off shore zone today although the actual catching/scores really didn't reflect the potential we are seeing. It was one of those odd days when the fish were scattered all over the ocean in small groups without much organization or readable explanation for why they were where we found them. The important thing of course is that we did find some but today's results were the kind that just make you want more and yearn for the big hit that you know is out there somewhere close by. I can report with confidence that very good offshore action on mixed fish is poised to hit the local grounds. The trend is northward, the spread of fish is good, and the timing is in line with historic trends. Some of these yellowfin in the mix are forty pounds and greater and the volume of albacore is enough to make one certain that the chance to clobber these beauties is coming in a big way.
So we head into day three still intent on the big hit content to spend our time targeting albacore and tuna for the duration as the lure of these beautiful fish has us hooked. A much improved weather forecast is additionally motivating as we have endured some slop during the past couple of days that has likely been detrimental to the fishing as well. We will see how it goes. At the very least there are plenty of fish around here to target and we are ready to hit it again tomorrow seeking both justice and glory.
Finally, a call out goes to Rudy from Russ and the guys who are thinking of their good buddy while having a great time out here on the pond.
