Royal Star Fish Report

Royal Star

The best laid plans can change in an instant with information from all our different resources pouring in at this time of year. With the most experienced fishermen on this coast scouring the ocean daily for signs of life, if there are fish to be caught, the fleet usually gets on them. Such was the case yesterday as very good morning action on albacore was located and worked by a handful of long rangers offshore. Taking all things into account, we made a quick decision to continue underway bypassing our original destination in favor of offshore fishing for albacore and bluefin tuna on our final day tomorrow. The change of plan was greeted with enthusiasm by our anglers who enjoyed the day of travel up the line relaxing and preparing their equipment for tomorrow in near flat calm conditions.

The true test of our decision of course comes tomorrow as we throw our effort into the mix and attempt to end this already successful voyage on a climatic note. A few rounds of bluefin tuna and albacore would go a long way towards accomplishing our goal. Time will tell.
