Royal Star Fish Report

Royal Star
Not much to report today as we continued the long, slow, relaxing but tedious southerly journey tending to a few odds and ends while preparing the boat for fishing in the upcoming week. Reports from the outside zone below relate tremendous promise but we have much ground to cover, and many stones to overturn before we arrive in that zone. For anglers departing with us on Wednesday, April 16th please be advised that a marathon, three and one half hour session at the San Diego bait receiver combined with a predominately strong to moderate northerly current has our present estimated time of arrival in Cabo San Lucas at 1400 hrs Pacific Standard Time. It is possible that we will make up some ground on the final leg but the E.T.A. in Cabo on Wednesday is likely to be around 2:00 p.m. Otherwise we are thankful for flat calm weather while traveling down and the fact that our exhausting effort to choose a good load of bait appears to have been well worth it. Our tanks are all looking good at this time and all is well with the boat. I will report again tomorrow as the official departure for the fishing portion of the voyage begins
