Royal Star
A little more action to go around today but still a mere fraction of what was here showed any interest in biting. The a.m., again with breathtakingly beautiful weather and sea conditions, offered the best sign of bigger fish, but the biggest of the bunch today were in the 90 - 120# category. Remarkable that everything yesterday was 160 - 200, but certainly not surprising as we have seen such changes so many times in the past. Fortunately today there was a slight bailout around the shallows as school size fish showed up in good quantity. Again however even the school size 25 - 50# yellowfin were reluctant to get with the program mainly focusing on whatever variety of local bait they were pursuing.
With enough action to deem the effort a fair success, and an extraordinary load of bait at day's end, we headed west for Roca Partida well aware that it is going to take much better action than what San Benedicto had to offer to meet our lofty standards. We could not be positioned better for success so now we head west with high hopes that the fish gods will be kind.
