Well it wasn't exactly the day we had our sights set on as the big black dolphins pulled a no show leaving us holding the bag so to speak. We did manage to find one spot in the early a.m. that produced a couple of handfuls of 60 - 90# yellowfin, but the trophies we came here for eluded us to the end of daylight. Thankfully we have four full days to dedicate to the search, and a good quantity of yellowfin in the hatch, so we are not ready to hit the panic button yet. With the incredibly high stakes on these voyages, and many potential personal bests roaming these waters however, we are far from cavalier about the lack of what we were looking for today. Days like these simply up the ante and we are ready to get back at it tomorrow doubling our efforts to achieve the results anglers are hoping for. So, as we enjoy a heavenly evening on the anchor in flat calm conditions, we are hoping that conditions will change for the better and the trophy yellowfin will be ready to get with the program tomorrow.
