Royal Star
We got off to a good start here with a full day of steady action on sixty to one hundred ten pound yellowfin tuna in flat calm conditions. In fact we drove away from the mid size class fish mid afternoon taking a tour in search of trophies elsewhere. We encountered no giants but signs are excellent with everything we hope to see in this region aligned to favor a showing on jumbos as long as conditions hold. To that effect it looks like we are going to have to tough out at least of couple of days of undesirable conditions, but, with any luck, we will be able to hunker down and target these fish on the anchor with some success. As we have experienced so many times in this region, more than anything, providing favorable conditions are present, success on big fish boils down to time and patience. For now we have both and we will see how long it takes for the weather, which took a significant turn in the wrong direction just after dark, to straighten back out and make for better conditions.
