Royal Star Fish Report

Royal Star
Adhering to tradition, it's time for statistics. The inevitable measure of success that, like it or not, relate the tale of a voyages' productivity. In the case of this voyage we are the lucky ones. Standing tall reveling in the glory of our efforts, we return to Fisherman's Landing tomorrow with a whopping twenty seven yellowfin tuna over the two hundred pound mark with one grandiose behemoth that topped the scales at three hundred forty five pounds. There will be no brass band, there will be no media, but all of you know the story. This extremely fortunate group of anglers had perfect timing in their favor and a professional crew of fishermen dedicated, as always, to the success of their voyage. The timing was luck, the catching was not; nor was our presence in the region. Such can not be said of some competitors however, whose fishing strategy of following those with experience produced results that can only be compared to a broken watch being correct twice a day, regardless of error.
If you anglers wish to experience genuine success, in every aspect of a voyage, I encourage all of you to visit Fisherman's Landing on Wednesday morning to view this beautiful catch as it is unloaded in pristine condition. Beautifully cared for and unloaded in premium condition, each fish in the RSW tanks has been meticulously bled, dressed, and thoroughly washed before being stored in the tanks at the optimum 30 degrees Fahrenheit for fresh transport to San Diego. Not only will the outward appearance of the fish be remarkable, more importantly the product is spectacular - comparable to or in most cases better than anything available in any present southern California market. This product adds tremendous value to our anglers long range voyages and is a significant example of a standard of excellence only available on vessels in our category. Producing such results requires a professional, well organized crew effort that we thoroughly enjoy and are eager to demonstrate to our anglers.
You may be questioning why I am going to such lengths to make this point again. Why, at the risk of excessive self aggrandizement, am I stating that we are the best at what we offer and accomplish in this venue. The answer is this: Randy and I have the highest respect for our crew of dedicated, professional young men and wish to promote their talents. Yes we work among them, sleeves rolled up, dressing out fish, riding the mast, or completing whatever task that arises and needs doing. But these guys are the fabric, they are the essential component of our success. A good crew, and the job they perform is what makes a successful fishing vessel, plain and simple. You can have all the bells and whistles but they add up to zero if a professional, motivated, experienced crew does not come along with it. In this respect Randy and I have monumental pride in our crew and the operation we have built. Call me cocky, call me big headed, call me a blowhard. Come and fish with us and you will feel different. I guarantee it.
So that is it for today. I may have something else to share before our arrival late tomorrow and unloading on Wednesday. If not I must not fail to express our overwhelming gratitude to all Royal Star anglers for their loyalty and the opportunity they provide for us to be out living our dream on the ocean. We wish you all the finest holiday season and New Year filled with prosperity, joy, family, and good health. We look forward to a bountiful 2008 and promise our commitment to providing the most progressive, professional, satisfying long range fishing voyage available today.
