Royal Star Fish Report

Royal Star

Well our turn in the barrel came around today as the signs of trophy yellowfin dwindled and we regrettably departed our one significant stop of the morning in search of straight trophies. The purist quest for trophies lead to a fruitless all day tour of the lower zone that continued to display plenty of indications of mid grade fish but not much in the way of our black dolphin buddies today. As such the overall results for all of us were predictable although there were a handful of jumbos landed today by a couple of "chosen ones". Rest assured the big ones are still around, the significant numbers were simply touring somewhere beyond our binoculars and sonars today.

So, we roll into our final day of fishing absolutely loaded with perfect mackeral and sardines seeking a little justice in the form of a strong finish. With any luck the weather and fish will cooperate sending us on our way on a high note. Regardless we have enjoyed our fair share of superb fishing for trophy yellowfin this voyage but typically that caliber of action, especially on giant yellowfin tuna, simply whets our appetite for more. As such we are keen to get back in the game tomorrow. Look for our final fishing report to provide the details.
