Royal Star Fish Report

Royal Star

Things were a little different today as the majority of the big fish we encountered showed little interest in joining their brethren in our fish holds. We did manage to land one fish at 214 and released another fifteen from eighty to one hundred ninety pounds, but overall the jumbos when we found them were sluggish, fickle, and slow to respond. Go figure. The good news is that we have two more full days to apply ourselves down here and best of all the weather, that again was not at its best it the a.m. today, is forecast to shape up nicely for our final two days of fishing. Overall sea conditions are holding and there are nothing but good indications that these fish will remain in this zone.

As such we are looking forward to another round tomorrow enjoying the most perfect set up for giant yellowfin tuna fishing one could hope for. Good weather, plentiful bait, and a group of anglers that is exceptionally prepared and focused on this exact type of fishing is a recipe with incredible potential. Fortunately these anglers are not only focused on the fishing however as enjoying themselves on the water obviously takes precedent over all. We are ready and we hope these big fish feel the same. We will report in again tomorrow.
