Royal Star
For our final voyage report I must give proper credit and huge thanks to Escondido Fire Dept. Captain Art Holcomb for providing us with a number of fantastic photos from the voyage including the best squence of photos detailing the process of deploying an archival tag in a one hundred pound yellowfin tuna that I have seen. There are quite a few other variety shots as well as more of the tagging process and victorious anglers with their trophy yellowfin tuna. Once again thanks to Art for taking the time to share some of his highest quality photos with us that will be posted within the next few days. So that is it for now as we finish the final leg of our ride up the line that has been civil but not exactly flat calm. We always say however that we would rather have the calm weather when we are fishing and on this voyage our wishes were granted. Look for reports to resume on the fifth as we depart on our next voyage ready to get back in the action below. Until then enjoy the photos.
