Not much to report in the way of catching as the offshore albacore action took a powder during the last couple of days leaving those who gambled on the fish turning on again holding the bag. Unfortunately for us, we are in that exact position, but we have two days to make up the deficit, and a couple of good moves still at our disposal. Thankfully, the weather is forecast to ease off so don?t be surprised to see those albacore to perk up again once we move into the next moon phase.

One side note for all those on upcoming trips of six days or less ? bring your California fishing license as plenty of the recent albacore action has been in U.S. waters. If you do not possess a current California license, you can purchase one as necessary on the day of departure if your Captain indicates that you will be fishing for albacore in U.S. territory.
