Royal Star Fish Report

Royal Star

Well this was the first day offshore for quite some time that we took it in the shorts stringing a few decent kelps together early then struggling to find anything after. The worst part of it was the fact that we were in fantastic conditions with perfect water temps and color. It was simply a matter of finding a decent kelp to stop on, which yesterday, was much easier said than done. So be it, and although it is not the tone we enjoyed ending our voyage on, the good news is that we have plenty of fish in the hatch to fill everyone's freezer, and then some, from our first three days of fishing. And so this voyage is almost history and I want to end it by expressing our most sincere gratitude to Michael Quezambra and his group of fantastic anglers. This group could be the model for what long range fishing is about today with a balanced approach to fishing that includes plenty of drive, but also a sincere appreciation for the whole experience of enjoying time on the water among good friends. So again, thanks to Mike and his group for all the good times and we look forward to the trip next season.

Now we prepare to head out again on our annual "Pfishcadora" four day adventure with Captain Toussaint and I joining forces in command. Look for daily reports to continue as we are ready to go on our next long range adventure.
