A very nice day with fantastic scenery, good weather, and good fishing conditions. All these combined however did not add up to a noteworthy day of catching as the vast majority of what we saw was not interested in what we had to offer. We did manage to scrape together a decent afternoon, but it was definitely below our modest goal. Such is fishing. As my good friend Steve Loomis used to say "if you come out here often enough, you will sit in every seat in the arena". At present, in case it has gone unnoticed, it seems to be our turn in the bleachers as every move we make, despite sound strategic planning, has ultimately been a challenge. Tomorrow is another day however and fishing, like everything in life, has a way of balancing out in the long run. With another sound strategy in progress, we will see what kind of report we have tomorrow.
