Royal Star
We broke up our first day of travel opting to put the brakes on and thoroughly cover the water we were passing through as a scattering of signs, interesting enough to get our attention, developed. In the end what we encountered was nothing to really sink our teeth into but we did see more indications that school size yellowfin are infiltrating the area. We are continuing down the line planning to put in at least one more day offshore giving a full effort to the pursuit of bluefin and yellowfin tuna in an area that has been producing a few hauls and plenty of signs for the commercial fleet over the past several months. As always in the bluefin fishery, a lot of perseverance, good weather, and plenty of luck must combine to make a significant catch of these most elusive members of the tuna family. With the overall all picture out here a little dicey at this point, let us hope for plenty of the afore mentioned tomorrow
