Royal Star
We have definitely been a little detached over the last few days as we have several new projects in the works on Royal Star, the best of which is a new sat phone that will allow Royal Star anglers the convenience of pre paid phone cards and use of the phone in the forward section of the galley. That?s right, no more schlepping up to the bridge requesting use of the phone while the captain and crew standby. Royal Star anglers will now have unlimited access to phone service in the comfort of the galley, as they see fit. It is our belief that this will be a HUGE improvement over the past service that will enable many more anglers use of the phone without the concern of braving darkness or unfavorable sea conditions while making their way topside. This new service should be up and running today so look for it on your upcoming voyages.
Now, as far as the fishing goes we have very much enjoyed the previous two, introduction to long range one and one half day voyages that realized excellent success on small kelp paddy yellowtail as well as a smattering of albacore and fifteen to thirty pound bluefin tuna. These trips have definitely provided us the opportunity to demonstrate the long range mode of operation to many new anglers in addition to having a great time on the local grounds. Captain Toussaint will be taking the final short trip out tonight and I will be taking the eight day out on Saturday. Look for our consistent reports to begin following the resumption of our regular schedule on June tenth.
