Royal Star Fish Report

Royal Star

Well we were hoping for a hero's welcome but were gruffly reminded of our status as mere mortals at the mercy of the ocean's moods and what is doled out to us. In today's case we were handed a dose of unpleasant weather that deteriorated as our day progressed into evening. As predicted, the unfavorable weather change was viewed equally by us and the giant yellowfin as they made themselves elusive at best but mostly just scarce. This is not to say that our day was a bust, but our huge expectations were only pacified with a couple of yellowfin over two hundred pounds and a dozen or so others in the one hundred to one hundred eighty pound class. The good news is that we did see plenty of encouraging signs, including several good spots of big fish that were down, so we hope that this stretch of blustery weather will pass quickly and we will get in the saddle. Until then we have no choice other than to set our cap, keep our chin up, and bide our time waiting for better conditions to prevail. We will of course continue fishing and keep you updated accordingly.
