Well it was bound to happen as the law of averages dictates that one cannot ride the crest of the wave indefinitely. As good as our luck has been during the previous two voyages is as bad as our luck was today. Short of three measly yellowfin tuna that are feeling awfully lonely in the bottom of our RSW tank, we caught nothing for a full day's effort looking offshore. Conditions were good, the weather was fine, water temperatures were stable, but the fish didn't care; either they moved or were down in the water column. Such is fishing and although we don't relish these type days, we know they are inevitable. The good news is that we have plenty of time to recover as we have three more full days to dedicate to the fishing effort. Tomorrow will be spent island fishing in search of a few shots at quality before considering other options.
