Royal Star Fish Report

Other than a long tale relating the beauty of Guadalupe and the incredible experiences only this island can deliver, I have little else to speak of. Conditions are changing rapidly at the island and as a result the fishing has definitely suffered. The question of course is what is going to happen here over the next few weeks; the answer is uncertain. I don't doubt that there will be more good fishing for yellowfin here in the near future but when it picks back up again is anyone's guess. With any luck it won't be long. Our fishing today was brutally slow with a brief morning showing that fizzled quickly then a merciful short afternoon hit for a half dozen nice yellowfin and a few yellowtail that rejuvenated spirits. Taking the slow fishing at Guadalupe into account, we are heading up tonight to search offshore tomorrow much to the disappointment, I suspect, of the Great White Sharks who's lean diet over the past few days is about to get even leaner. I can't say I am feeling too sympathetic however as they could definitely stand to shed a few pounds following their gluttonous binge on yellowfin tuna over the past six weeks.
