Royal Star Fish Report

Good fortune continued to smile upon us as our final morning at Guadalupe yielded the results we were hoping for in the form of good fishing and good catching on 50 - 80# yellowfin tuna. The weather was nice, conditions were perfect, the island was beautiful, and the tuna were biting even earlier than yesterday as if they knew we had to leave and wanted one last chance to join us on our way to San Diego. With a beautiful catch in the hatch our good luck even extended to the ride home that yesterday promised to rugged but today ended up being just fine; even allowing Chef Tommy Zee to serve soup for our final evening meal heading up the line. Needless to say we are very pleased with the results of our voyage that began with rather ominous fishing prospects but ended up in very good shape. Some new developments on the offshore grounds have us feeling pretty optimistic about the overall picture so we will see how things turn out on our next voyage.
