Royal Star Fish Report

Royal Star

There is a running joke amongst our fleet that whenever Captain Toussaint takes the helm the weather flattens out and the fish come up and bite. As amazing as it seems, the joke is actually somewhat legitimate with Randy's timing proving uncanny on so many past occasions. The reason I share this with all of you is that there is never a time that will put Captain Toussaint's ability to change the picture for the better like the present. The offshore scenario is absolutely brutal and has been now for at least three days. All of the fish we were seeing and catching down below have vanished and the combined effort of our entire fleet has yet to turn up a scale for at least two full days. Although disconcerting, I don't believe it is time yet to polish our swords our embrace the Chicken Little approach. With the quantity of fish we witnessed down below, one has to believe that they will make a showing somewhere above. Of course this leads back to where and when question and that is where the old Toussaint fable comes into play. Let's hope for all our sake that Randy's luck, the next moon phase, or whatever else is necessary to create a change happens soon and we all get back on track catching beautiful albacore and bluefin offshore. Look for Captain Toussaint's reports to begin tomorrow and standby for good fishing.
