Royal Star Fish Report

Royal Star

Aside from a few spots of small albacore this morning, very little to report as we traveled towards home. That is until this afternoon when we were all broken down and scrubbing the boat. We happened into a fair area of 30-60lb bluefin and couldn't resist stopping to give them a try. pandemonium ensued as we tried to get rigged up and get some hooks in the water as they boiled up. We ended up hooking five and landed two, one was 60lbs the other 30.We reluctantly left them to make our arrival time, had we stayed I'm sure we would have scratched out a nice day in this area. I'm not going to elaborate on where we were but I will say that we were in 11/2 day range, hopefully part of the fleet can get out and check this area in the near future. The A.A. will be here tomorrow so look for his report. The weather continues to be incredibly calm, it feels as if we've been in the bay for the last five days. Our eta is 0700 tomorrow at the dock where we'll spend the night in and depart again Sunday on a 17-day. Our reports will resume again on the 10th.
