Searcher arrived under Kevin Ward's hand August 18 at Fisherman's Landing, after a three-day trip.
Dave Dubuy of West Monroe, LA won first place for his 28-pound dorado. He said he got it with a blue and white Salas 6X Jr. jig on 40-pound Ande line, with a Penn 4/0 reel and a Calstar 6465 rod.
Dennis Yoshioka of Bishop won second place for a 27-pound dorado, and Spencer Gray of Lake Forest won third place for a 25.2-pound yellowtail.
