Fish Report for 7-10-2013
Bigger Class Bluefin Today
7-10-2013
Justin Fleck
Captain Justin Fleck called in this morning from the Excel. We have a great group of guys on the Little Al's Oil Patch Special. We started fishing around 10:30 yesterday morning. We had good fishing on a bigger grade of Bluefin Tuna today in the 50 to 70 pound class. They were biting heavy line right out of the gate. We stayed busy for several hours with 1 to 10 going at a time. It was hot and heavy for a long time. We ended up with 90 fish before it dried up. We then searched around and found a few kelp paddies and caught a few Yellowtail here and there. The weather is flat calm.
We are fishing in the same zone today. We haven't seen much action today but the fishing didn't pop up until 10:30 yesterday we are hoping for a repeat today. We will check in tomorrow.
The picture with this story is of Excel Owner "Big Al" Gross with a quality Bluefin Tuna.
