Yesterday we had a big day here on the Phenix Rods/ Blackwater trip with wide open fishing in the morning on smaller grade tuna and in the afternoon the yellowtail went crazy until everyone onboard had enough. I haven't seen yellowtail bite that aggressively in a long time. These guys are worn out. Today was used to get caught up on rest and put new to shots on reels in preparation for hopefully another good day tomorrow. We will be offshore in search of dorado and bigger tuna for the rest of the trip. Wish us luck.
