THE HEAT IS ON (041312)!!! Hi folks;
Weather at Clipperton today was absolutely beautiful, sunny, light breeze and flat seas.
12 passengers fished the beach today in skiffs, two anglers per skiff, 3 and a half hours each. they yanked and cranked until they were exhausted. Blue Star Jacks to 30 pounds, Leather Back Cabrilla to 25 plus pounds, Chinese masks, Hog fish, runners, Yellow snapper, snowy Cabrilla, and others. All were released to preserve the inshore fishery. For many aboard its a highlight of the trip. Dr. Tom and Dr. Pete spent their entire time in the water snorkeling.
Tuna and Wahoo, we really had a pretty good day for the 16 anglers aboard. We caught 23 Yellowfin tuna from 100 to 190 pounds. Many were in the 160 pound range. We also had 21 good quality Wahoo. I am tried and sleepy, so enjoy the photos. The R/p crew.
