Royal Polaris Sportfishing Trip Update (120211)
12-3-2011
Royal Polaris Crew
Hello everyone;
Weather continues to be absolutely beautiful. Sunny, warm, and 5 knots of breeze.
Fishing was descent for us today. We caught 21 Yellowfin and 3 Wahoo. Largest was a 213 pound Yellowfin by Brandon Stevens. Brandon's fish should yield tremendous information as it is believed to be the first tagged fish over 200 pounds. Not only was this Brandon's personal best but he will receive $500 from the tropical tuna commission for turning in the transponder. We will pass the information on to you, our readers once we get it.
Matt Bouland also got his personal best with a 191 pound fish. Most of our fish were in the 130 to 180 pound class. We left for home at 14:30 hours, wishing we had a couple more days to fill the boat.
This trip is scheduled as a 13 day next year and will leave the day after Thanksgiving. Our group had a wonderful time and are now enjoying a smooth ride home. The R/p crew.
