Pacific Queen hits a great Dorado bite
10-26-2011
Bill Cavanaugh - Pacific Dawn
Bill Cavanaugh called in to give us this update on the Pacific Queen 1.5 Trip, "We just finished up probably the best Dorado bite I've seen in a number of years. We got on a kelp here that had mixed Yellowtail and Dorado on it. Holy cow these Dorado are giant. They are like 18 to 25 lb. fish. It was a sight to behold, it was pretty impressive to say the least. Nice big Dorado and they were good biting fish. We have our limits of Dorado on board out of that first drift. And we got a bunch of Yellowtail to go with it. They are a little bit better grade than when we were down here a few weeks ago. I don't know how many Yellowtail we have, I think we have right around 60 Yellowtail. We also have 6 Yellowfin Tuna and 5 Bluefin Tuna so far today.
We have had a really good day of fishing. We have a bunch of time left but I just wanted to check in with that report. We have another trip leaving Friday night...this is really something else. This is like 10 day Ridge fishing." If you want to go on the Friday trip give Fisherman's Landing a call at 619-221-8500 or you can book on-line at FishermansLanding.com
