Hello Anglers,
Today was a beautiful day at Benitos Island. Flat sea's, and good yellowtail fishing was on our plate all day. We caught fish on the usual yellowtail gear with the majority of fish being caught on the yo-yo jigs.Average size on the yellowtail was around 18 pounds with a few 25 to 30 pound fish mixed in. For a little bonus we were drifting on some yellowtail over a little hard bottom and we started to catch red snapper and even a bonus cow cod. The late afternoon we did not catch much yellowtail so we anchored up at the island for the remainder of the evening and enjoyed a barbecue spare rib dinner with mashed potatoes, corn on the cob, and a dinner salad. Tomorrow we are going to be fishing offshore in search for some albacore and bluefin. Enjoy the pictures Reported by, Shawn Steward
