Hello Anglers,
Offshore fishing was very good to us today with an ocean as flat as a lake and very cooperative fish. All day long it was very steady with the afternoon being the best time of day. On our morning bite we drifted up 5 bluefin and 5 albacore all of which were the same general weight, 20 to 35 pounds. When we started to look around with the jigs we were getting steady strikes with stops for 2 to 20 baitfish a piece and all the stops were in a pretty small area. Around 1400 we had our best stop for 65 albacore and a few bluefin. The majority of the albacore were in the 22 to 35 pound range and the bluefin were about the same. The rest of the evening we picked a few fish on each stop and a couple more bluefin to go with them. We are going to fish off shore again tomorrow to try for a few more albacore and try to get a few more bluefin.
