Hello Anglers,

Our day started out with flat calm seas and a absolutely beautiful sunrise over Cedros Island. We did not have any fish after the first hour of daylight so we ran over to the other side of the island and got next to the island on a ridge that had a nice spot of yellowtail around it. While coming tight on the anchor we had 6 fish going before I was able to say give it a try on the P.A.. The next two hours were the best that I have seen at Benitos with 10 to 15 fish going all the time until I finally had to drive away from them. They were being caught on just about everything you wanted to pull out of the tackle boxes and they were not line shy at all in fact one guy was using 100 pound line and a yo yo jig and did as well as the guys using the lighter line. The fish were any where from 15 to 28 pounds and all sizes in between. One thing I want to mention is that alot of our anglers were practicing catch and release and we ended up releaseng a good amount of yellowtail. We looked offshore the rest of the day hoping for a kelp that was holding some tuna but caught nothing and continued on out to Guadalupe where we are going to spend our day tomorrow.
